No Kings Day in Ovid March 28
Indivisible Seneca is organizing a No Kings Day action in Ovid. It is at the intersection of Routes 96 and 96A.
Please register at Mobilize.us, so that organizers know how many people to expect and to get more specific instructions. Please park only in the designated areas.
Bring signs with pro-democracy messages. See below for ideas. Use letters that are about 6" high if you want motorists to read them.
The National No Kings team makes the purpose clear. When our families are under attack and costs are pushing people to the brink, silence is not an option. We will defend ourselves and our communities against this administration’s unjust and cruel acts of violence.
On March 28th, rise up, take to the streets, and say it loud: no thrones, no crowns, no kings. We’re not watching history happen—we’re making it. Join us.
A core principle behind all No Kings events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values and to act lawfully at these events. Weapons of any kind, including those legally permitted, should not be brought to events.
Some people ask why they should participate. It is a fair question. This is what previous participants have gotten out of No Kings protests

- Seeing the positive reaction of so many of the drivers in Ovid.
- Supporting each other when the amount of bad news can be overwhelming.
- Influencing media coverage of national events to reflect the democratic sentiment in America.
- Letting the community know that even rural and conservative parts of the country are agitated about the administration's anti-American actions.
- Getting inspired to follow up with actions that will give us better representation in Congress and a better administration in the White House.
