John Lewis' Good Trouble day for voting rights. Ovid July 18 11am
“Good Trouble Lives On” in Ovid and in towns across the US this weekend Six years after the passing of Congressman John Lewis , at least 600 communities across the nation this weekend host "Good Trouble Lives On" events to honor his legacy as a voting rights advocate and promote non-partisan voter engagement. Indivisible Seneca members will gather in Ovid (Rt 414 and 96 corner) from 11 am to noon to remind people that our voting rights are important and are under attack . We will also be registering anyone how isn't registered to vote now. In the face of continued efforts to intimidate voters and voting rights organizations away from engaging in our elections, communities are showing up with strength and courage in the spirit of the civil rights movement to protect our sacred freedom to vote.
