Why won't Tenney protect us from ICE crime?

In recent months we have seen horrific violence perpetrated by Federal employees in ICE.

Their violence has killed five Americans to date, in each case someone doing nothing wrong.

Many more Americans have been wounded by gunfire, vehicular ramming or beating by people who work on behalf of the Federal government.

Thousands have been illegally abducted. Without due process, these are kidnappings not legal arrests.

Claudia Tenney has issued press releases, made Twitter posts and done press interviews defending this violence.

Claudia Tenney presents the agents of ICE as representing the law, where in fact they are the ones breaking the law. In so doing, she is promoting a lawless society and violence by the state against its own people.

We at indivisible Seneca want all law enforcement agencies operating on US soil bound by the same protections of due process.  This includes ICE.

Why won’t Tenney try to protect us from this overreach? She refused to have ICE subject to the legal accountability that apply to other law enforcement in the last funding package.

In Seneca County, we are fortunate to have exemplary law enforcement. From the NY State Police, to the Seneca County Sheriff Department to the Seneca Falls Police Department. Because of its historic significance, Seneca Falls hosts many protests. There are usually also some people who disagree with the protesters. The Seneca Falls police are always terrific, making sure that everybody feels safe. That is real law enforcement!

Seneca County deserves better representation in Congress. We need a Representative who will protect us from ICE crime. There are two candidates who support law and order, who support accountability of the Federal government and who support our republic. They are Alissa Ellman and Diana Kastenbaum. If you also want to be represented by someone who wants to protect you, consider voting for the one who is on the ballot this November.
